Through the Education is our Future and Funda Nathi initiatives, the Safari team added extra value on Mandela Day in 2023 and 2024. In collaboration with Leon Electrical, Cipro Vino & HD Construction, we supported Shirinda Primary School with painting, tiling & facility repairs. We also partnered with Education is our Future and Ryobi, joined by Safari staff and Capital Live Radio to beautify the library at JF Kekana Secondary School, a room previously used as a teacher workspace. Denlyn Mall annually collects blankets, clothing & care packs from tenants and shoppers, which are donated to families in partnership with Patch-Up SA.

Each January , Denlyn hosts a Back-to-School Haircut Initiative for learners from Mamelodi and Eersterust, in collaboration with Voice It in Action, government departments, NGOs, the local library, private companies, and community members. More than 35 exhibitors take part, offering healthcare services, financial support information, bursaries and recreational activities such as sports in partnership with the City of Tshwane.

As part of our annual Back-to-School programme, 70 pairs of school shoes are distribute d annually in Mamelodi West. Beneficiary schools include d Umthombo Primary School, Shirinda Primary School, FF Rebirro and other local secondary schools.
